Magic Countdown (“the App”) is developed by me, Sam Dawes. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and shared when you use the App. I am committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about my practices.

Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores your preferences, settings, and any photos you import locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to my servers.

Analytics and Usage Data

I use Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used and improve the experience. This data is aggregated and does not include personally identifiable information such as your name or email address.

Crash and Performance Data

I use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports, which may include stack traces, device model, and operating system version. This data is used solely to identify and fix bugs and improve App stability.

Authentication

The App uses anonymous authentication to authenticate API requests. It does not require or collect your email, password, or any social login credentials.

Subscription Information

Magic Countdown Pro subscriptions and lifetime purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. I use RevenueCat to manage subscription state and verify purchase receipts. I do not collect or store your payment information, including credit card numbers or billing addresses. All payment processing is handled by Apple.

AI Features

When you use the AI features, your wallpaper image is sent to Google's Gemini API for processing. Images are processed in real-time and are not stored on my servers. Google processes these images in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

iCloud Sync

If you use iCloud, certain app data may sync across your Apple devices. This sync is handled entirely by Apple's iCloud infrastructure. You can control iCloud sync in your device's Settings.

Photo Library Access

The App lets you select images from your photo library. Selected photos are stored locally on your device. I do not upload your photos to my servers, except when you explicitly choose to use the AI features described above.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Firebase (Google) — Analytics, Authentication, and crash reporting
• RevenueCat — Subscription management
• Apple — iCloud sync and App Store payments

Data I Do NOT Collect

I want to be clear about what I do not do:

• I do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or other personal contact information.
• I do not access your camera, contacts, location, or microphone.
• I do not display advertisements or share data with advertising networks.
• I do not sell your data to third parties.
• I do not track you across other apps or websites.

Children's Privacy

The App is designed for general audiences. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since the App uses anonymous authentication and does not collect personal identifiers, data collection is minimal regardless of the user's age.

Data Retention

• Local data persists on your device until you delete the App or clear its data.
• Analytics data is retained by Firebase per Google's data retention policies.
• Crash data is retained by Firebase Crashlytics per Google's policies.
• iCloud data is managed by Apple per your iCloud settings.

Security

I take reasonable measures to protect your information. Local data is protected by your device's built-in security features, and all network communications are encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
